THE SON

The SON This is great.. Take a moment to read it; it will make your day! The ending will surprise you. A wealthy man and his son loved to collect rare works of art. They had everything in their collection, from Picasso to Raphael. They would often sit together and admire the great works of art.. When the Vietnam conflict broke out, the son went to war. He was very courageous and died in battle while rescuing another soldier. The father was notified and grieved deeply for his only son. About a month later, just before Christmas, there was a knock at the door. A young man stood at the door with a large package in his hands. He said, 'Sir, you don't know me, but I am the soldier for whom your son gave his life. He saved many lives that day, and he was carrying me to safety when a bullet struck him in the heart and he died instantly. He often talked about you, and your love for art.' The young man h...

A STORY OF A MIRACLE

ISAIAH 65:24] This beautiful story was written by a doctor who worked in Africa .. One night, I had worked hard to help a mother in the labour ward; but in spite of all we could do, she died, leaving us with a tiny, premature baby and a crying two-year-old daughter. We would have difficulty keeping the baby alive, as we had no incubator (we had no electricity to run an incubator). We also had no special feeding facilities. Although we lived on the equator, nights were often chilly with treacherous drafts. One student midwife went for the box we had for such babies and the cotton wool that the baby would be wrapped in. Another went to stoke up the fire and fill a hot water bottle. She came back shortly in distress to tell me that in filling the bottle, it had burst (rubber perishes easily in tropical climates? ). ' And it is our last hot water bottle! ' she exclaimed. As in the West, it is no good crying over spilled milk, so in Central Africa it might be considere...

MANTANGALE ALIBUAG DIVE RESORT

MAY 15, 2006 - After sending off my mom to the airport for KSA, this is the place where we went after Robin's burial. The place was like paradise but it doesn't take away the pain. It was like being in a dream, hoping somebody would be waking us up. Maia enjoyed swimming and Mama Gloria came with us because she was also Robin's favorite lola and Dennis' "emotion buffer" – he feels better with his mom around. Notice the hands of Dennis – as if he is carrying Robin in his arms.

SIN CANNOT STOP GOD'S GRACE

Sin Cannot Stop God’s Grace! Romans 5:20 20 Moreover the law entered that the offense might abound. But where sin abounded, grace abounded much more, When a top executive is charged for corruption or a church minister is caught in the very act of adultery, you will probably hear the phrase “fallen from grace” being used of them. We have come to believe that when someone falls into sin, he falls from grace. But God wants us to know that when someone falls into sin, he does not fall from grace — he actually falls into grace! Thank God His grace is there to put the person back on his feet. The Bible tells of prostitutes and corrupt tax collectors — sinners — who fell into God’s grace and got back on their feet. If the sin in their lives could stop God’s grace, they would never have been able to receive His grace of healing, help and power to live right. Now, it is important you understand that God hates sin because it destroys our lives, re...

PRAYING TO THE HOLY SPIRIT

Help Me Pray, Holy Spirit’ Jude 1:20 20But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit, When my daughter Jessica was little, she woke up one night crying. She was not sick, but would not stop crying even though her mother and I tried to pacify her. I did not know what to do. I went to the restroom, sat on the floor and cried out, “Holy Spirit, You know what is wrong with my child. You know what she needs better than I do, so I yield her to You now.” I started praying in tongues and she stopped crying immediately! Now, I wish that such instantaneous results are the norm, but they are not. On another occasion, I experienced severe pain from the back of my neck to my shoulders. I prayed for healing, but the pain persisted for quite some time and I was quite concerned. One night, in my room, I knelt down and prayed, “Holy Spirit, You know this condition. I don’t know what it is, but I am asking You to make perfect prayer against th...

PRAYER ON APPEARANCE

"…The Lord does not look at the things man looks at. Man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart" (I Samuel 16:7, NIV) When the Lord looks at your heart, what does He see? Every one has an outer life and an inner life. The outer life is our public life that people around us see. The inner life is made up of our thoughts, attitudes, and motives. Only you and God know what's going on inside of you. Too many people go around today pretending—acting one way, yet on the inside they're thinking something totally different. Their heart and their actions don't line up. We have to understand that God looks at the inside. We can fool a lot of people, but we can't fool God. God would rather us be open and honest than go through life pretending. Take inventory of what's going on inside of you today. Are you at peace? Are you overlooking offenses? Do you believe the best in people? Are your heart and actions lining up? If not, submit your ways ...

THE SCIENTIFIC DEATH OF JESUS

"For the next 60 seconds, set aside what ever you're doing and take this opportunity! Let's see if satan can stop this. THE (SCIENTIFIC) DEATH OF JESUS At the age of 33, Jesus was condemned to the death penalty. At the time crucifixion was the "worst" death. Only the worst criminals condemned to be crucified. Yet it was even more dreadful for Jesus, unlike other criminals condemned to death by crucifixtion Jesus was to be nailed to the cross by His hands and feet. Each nail was 6 to 8 inches long. The nails were driven into His wrist. Not into His palms as is commonly portrayed. There's a tendon in the wrist that extends to the shoulder. The Roman guards knew that when the nails were being hammered into the wrist that tendon would tare and brake, forcing Jesus to use His back muscles to support himself so that He could breath. Both of His feet were nailed together. Thus He was forced to support Himself on the single nail that impaled His feet to the cross....
